We are excited to share that the 1st International Conference on River Conservation (ICon-RC2022) will be held in person at the Sabah International Convention Centre on December 20-22, 2022. The theme of the international conference is Clean River for Sustainable Life. This conference is organized by the Borneo Institute for Indigenous Studies (BorIIS), Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (UMS).

Our plenary speaker will be YB Datuk Haji Yakub Khan, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Sabah, Malaysia. We are also delighted that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jidon Janaun, Director of the Innovation & Commercialization Centre, UMS; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Normah Abdul Latip, Director of the Borneo Institute for Indigenous Studies (BorIIS), UMS will join us as our keynote speakers.

Academicians, scientists, engineers, industrial professionals, and researchers from around the world are invited to participate in ICon-RC 2022 to present their unpublished and original work. The topics include (but not limited to) sustainable and new sustainable solutions in river conservation including civil engineering, indigenous studies, river conservation, social science, architecture, environmental science, greenways and open spaces, alternative sources, and cultural heritage science.ÌýRegistration is now open for paper presenters and participants.
